Between museum and art gallery, this space of 100m2 displays an exceptional collection of regional emblematic fossils.
In the labyrinth of vaulted cellars of an old Provençal house, an enthusiast paleontologist opens his doors to let you meet a fascinating world that vanished more than 100 million years ago where ammonites, fish, starfish share place with ichthyosaurs, real giants of ancient oceans.
This space largely is dedicated to fossils that are displayed as works of art, where their meticulous goldsmith work is highlighted, reviving these exceptional pieces.
The museum offers visitors a visual and scientific tour of the geology of the Alpes de Haute-Provence as well as from abroad (Morocco, India, South America...).
